Mindfulness & Consciousness
“Mindfulness is knowing what you are experiencing while you are experiencing it. It is moment-to-moment awareness, has the quality of being in the now, a sense of freedom, of perspective, of being connected, not judging” (Sridhar, n.d.).
This mindfulness foundation tells us that consciousness emerges from moment to moment, based on information from our senses as well as internal thought states. The mind cannot exist in and of itself; only particular states of thought can exist based on internal or external circumstances.
Mindfulness and Consciousness are centered around three areas:
- Positivity
- Alignment and Nature
- Family and Work
